sidplay for symbian 3rd edition
i'd like to run sidplay on my mobile phone, which is gifted with a symbian 3rd edition core. pre-v03 libsidplay sadly won't do, and so far i haven't seen a successor to the existing libsidplay-version.
now, pygmy project's scenetone does work on s60v03, but the sid emulation is horrid to say the least.
next to putting the whole hvsc as mp3s on my phone, what would the average 3rd edition symbian-user do? is there anything else that is capable of playing sid on said version? |

Still, you can't make a decent phonecall with it without a Internet-connection.

Was in reply to Fatfrost. hihih. should have quoted.
As far as I am aware there does not seem to be a decent sidplayer for Symbian 3rd edition. For the time being, perhaps you can compress your favourite sid tracks to wma/mp3. Seems like the only option unless you can port something to the phone |

Did you actually read dalezys post? :) (and no, scenetone isn't a decent sidplayer) |

I read it too fast, didn't notice the scenetone. :-)
I'm just idly browsing CSDB while sitting in a boring full day meeting.. So sue me. :-)
And yeah, it sucks but at least it's something. |

lol...i bet if i made a handheld c64 you would bbbuy it. asus eeepc are crap!
wouldn't you prefer an ultra-slim real c64 in your pocket? built in flash ram (like mmc 64) and headphone socket for listening to hvsc?? come on... |

people who claim that the eeepc is crap just aren't man enough to handle it. :) though, i'd love to have a wifi-enabled c64 in that size too, that's out of question.
back on topic - i went with the mp3-option for now, and once that 6581-8580-recording site is back up, i'll dive into their stash. too bad they have this major problem with the timing of some of the tunes. |
