The C64 is offcially more alive than the Amiga

Seriously. I was looking at a certain well-known cross-platform scene website and Of the "big three" demo platforms, C64 is second in terms of number of productions to the PC. Amiga is a distant third. 8 bits forever!

well, I don't know about Amiga, but considering also other c64 uses, rather than scene, the c64 is quite alive. Consider all the Prophet and now Messiah stuff. That involves a lot also C64 modding.

Amiga is also quite alive if you consider uses outside the demoscene ... for better or for worse! Some very nice scene activity by Up Rough and IRIS, though.

Meh. I wanted to use GEOS to create a paper/PDF mag with a retro theme once. Either VICE's "raw" userport printer emulation is crapped up or the PostScript that GEOS's PostScript driver creates is so nonstandard that Ghostscript can't read it. Either way, my GEOS experiments are done for now, though I would like to create a paper/PDF mag on the C64 itself at some point still, though.

Another sign of C64 superiority was that production of Amiga 500 stopped before C64.

then actually do it on a real c64, with a dot-matrix printer or something. it'll be harder, but hey, if you want to go oldschool, do it all the way ;_)
