Hmmm a central location would be better for everyone... :)
I was gonna do a party, called '8bit bonk' but was too lazy in the end...
Maybe one day..? |

For maximum result, I think a UK meeting/party should be set somewhere in central UK... I'm talking around the likes of Derby -> Sheffield area. There's plenty of access to those towns/cities via motorways (M1, M62 etc)
You can disagree with this as you wish, but I think the train/petrol costs really puts people off too. That's pretty much why I don't go to Sundown to be honest, being that I live in the north. |

A UK C64 meeting would be good. The M5 isn't too inaccessible, especially from the north as it joins on to the M6. Not sure about public transport, obviously it would depend where we're talking.

I'll be in London during the 20:th and 28:th of October for a studytrip with some students looking at architecture. Anyone interested and lives in the area could join in and we'll have a diverse scene experience, without computers :) |

...You'll probably find me at the Uxbridge Arms during the evenings at my stay, or perhaps the Nags head over at Kinnerton Street. |

I hear what you are saying, but if i was to organise one it would be close to my home.
I have a place in mind that about 10 minutes from junction 11a on the M5 on a straight road. There are 3 Major supermarkets within 2 miles of the venue and also i have access the the local cash and carry to purchase bulk drinks.
I think it would be hard to organise an event say in derby because i'm not local and dont know the area.
if such an event was to be organised, it would not be till the middle / last quarter of next year. |
