Looking for old bitmap animation tool

I'm looking for a tool that allowed creating animations with multi-color bitmap: iirc you'd load a koala or Amica Paint picture and then select frames and the program would run the animation.

Must have been around 1989, I remember doing a 'Shadow of the Beast' character running before I'd seen the C64 SotB version. I remember my animations having more than three colors, probably done in Amica Paint, so tools that converted bitmap into sprites for animation are probably out. Then again it's been 30 years, so I could be wrong.

I searched CSDb for 'animator' etc, but came up with nothing that fits my, admittedly vague, memory.

Looking through stuff I found this.

Movie Maker

It is only a bunch of animations though from what I can see, and not the actual tool they were made with, which is a bit confusing, seeing it is listed as a tool.

Probably a scene tool. And I was joking, should have added a smiley :)

Giga-Paint [german] was a powerful program i used quite a lot back then. It came with many handy tools & features, possibly including an animator, but i don´t remember... :/

Thanks for the suggestions, Ratt's tool doesn't look like the one I used. Gigapaint is going to take a while to figure out: 4 floppy sides, bloody hell :)
