Nice Spiderman pic - atleast what you can tell from a distance. This is not a pic from any of the american or european releases of a Spiderman game (eg. The Questprobe one, and the brilliant one from the nineties).
I don't think this is a demoscene-pic either, I can't recall ever seeing it, and it somehow seems too simple to have been published on Compunet or in a demo. |

I have a vague memory of that picture.. not on C64 but in the comics.. issue #19 or around that time.. It's hard to see but Spideys eyes look like they belong in the early issues.

I think it's a clone. |

It damn right, looks like 70'ies or early eighties Spidey. :-) One of those screens inviting you to subscribe instead of buying loose issues.
On a more serious level - the "PIDER" text looks like it is situated in the lower border. That's quite odd.
EDIT: After looking at the other pictures, I thought that it was a VIC-20, and that they were looking at some kind of nice slideshow. |

It looks like an early Spider-man drawn by John Romita Sr.
As an addicted fan of the webslinger and huge 64 democollector I've never get in touch with this piX. Sorry. |

TwoFlower: it's clearly a new model C64 in front of the monitor with the Spiderman picture.
Also, it LOOKS like the text is in de border, but it could also be that it's just a bit oddly adjusted screen, where the image is situated a bit low on the monitor.
[edit]
Mayhem released a series of Comic Art, but the style doesn't fit the Spiderman picture. |

I've contacted the organizers of this meeting. But up to now there is no answer. |

It was used in a D.S. Compware demomaker demo by someone calling himself "The Spider" and was released '87 or '88 afair... and no, the picture was not really nice, but a poor scanned/wired conversion... |

Hmm... the original could also been drawn by Steve Ditko instead of John Romita. What speaks for Romita (or even Buscema), is, that there is no net under his arms like the webhead was drawn more and more often in the mid 70s. I am pretty sure I have the original somewhere in some mag in my collection... Greets from another Spidey addict ;-) |

The owner told me that it is a demo by FAH. He will search his discs for this demo. |
