Demo DVD?

Has anyone taken on the ambition of recording the top demos to a video and/or DVD? I would love to have a compilation so people can enjoy the top productions anywhere they choose. I also think it would be great background material ... for example, throw a party, toss the demos on the big screen with some funky SID background muzak ...

At any rate, if this has already been done, I'd love to find out where I can get my copy! If it hasn't, then this is a project I'll definitely consider working on.

well divx format is far better than vcd =)

and u wouldn't even need anything to capture the demo's theres such programs which do such things.. snag it etc...

more fun would be to use stereo pc versions of the sid tunes

I wonder which selection of demos you guys had in mind. I was thinking of throwing (bits of demos) on screen at parties, but I was wondering which C64 demos would appeal to- or fascinate "normal" audience...

everybody love this idea it seems. ;-) i ussualy use my hp 735 photocamera to make some small videos too and the sound quality is very good. lateron i work it out with a program like virtual dub.

ofcourse it's not the highest quality but you can add the original music of the demo when saving the sid file into a wav file and save it in the movie-demo. the compression is very good.
