@Jammer: The place was quite sleepy, anyway - so enjoy the show :)

@Geir: Man... As it seems my English sucks beyond imagination :) My bad!

Anyway, even considering that and the performance of my obviously limited mind and expression + wrong use of language, still, I really could not figure out what part of which sentence in my comment had suggested that you suggested that I was suggesting, such as: "usings GT alone ensures success!!!" or "lovechild C64 editors must have pro-grade support for users!!!".

Fact: answering simple questions without calling folks stoopid in sophisticated ways is GOOD. 4 ex: I'm dumb as a stick because I could not figure out all things by myself, aye, indeed. So I had some rather stupid questions to Cadaver considering his editors some time ago - well, I was not talked down from godly height, or directed towards Kawasaki Rhythm Rocker...

We are all sitting on a sandpile in the kindergarten that is smaller than it used to be. I threw you with a toy because I did not like that you blew sand in the face of some kiddos and called them stupid who just tried to climb up one step on the pile where you're sitting on the top and see the full landscape. We are bad. Your general view of fellow kiddos won't change and I really enjoy throwing toys at folks whenever I don't like something then watching the reaction. We won't change. Never growing up.

Quoting Geir
Go make some music instead.

Made my day :)

Facts, aye...

Geir: where were you in the 90s ?

That's when we got used to registering small cheap shitty programs, and writing long letters to the creator, to improve his tool. Shareware was born, and from then on, we could always depend that the creator would give support!

And on the other side, i know, people are lazy fuckers.
They dont read the manual, and they dont experiment, before asking. No, ask first, get it all served on a platter for you, cut some corners.

The endless download of meaningless free software, games, music, porn, from the internet, has turned people into this - a lazy fuck! i know i know :D

example: endless idiots asking for a program to show their koala pic, or play a tune...

But we help those people. why ?????

Personally i help 'lamers' or these annying noobs, because it gives me a feeling that i can pass on a little of my C64 knowledge to a noob, thus extending my own life - like if i got a kid and had to teach him to ride a bike.

I dont know why you do it...

Back on topic!:

Who is first to create a pulse program, that does this:

1. tune runs in speed 2 (82)
2. pulse goes 4 ticks (16 notes): something that is moving
3. then pulse goes completely stable, only 1 value, for 4 ticks (16 notes) - then loop to 2.

Geir is not allowed to say anything, or participate. :D

Dont ask any questions, just do this test, then when its working, post your pulse table here. (or tune example)

Is this what you're asking for?

PULSE
01: 04 48 30 02
02: 01 00 30 81

the hard part was not to create the pulse, but to try to understand what "ticks" means... :)

Wouldn't it be more useful to have the pulse program behave just like the filter program?

instead of 81-8f controlling pulse high (well actually it's all values 81-ff)
you could restart the pulse when you set instrument just like you can with the filter program (what is known in the manual as "filter sweep infinite mode 2")
