After watching csdb and not logging in, for months I say
BYEBYE...
I deleted my profile and you could delete my account.
From today I won't give out anything anylonger.
I didn't delete my releases, if anybody will do, I don't care.
If you prefer CRYpt+WDR style and quality, now you can get it daily.
I am really fed up with allowing every shit on this database and if you call it SHIT or CRAP or lower standard than 1985
you hear only "better shit and active than being inactive".
Recracks, SEUCKs, BASIC and frozen "cracks" are allowed here.

To say it clear: I dislike it if anybody adds something from me here in the future.
The most of you forum- or demosceners have no fucking clue
how the real scene worked and still the cracks were there before the demos, which many forget so easily.
Respect for the people who did anything in the past (and
I don't speak about me here) is nowhere (good example:
OSWALD, but with him I could live as he could code decent)
but only lamers pretending to be cool all day.
As already said, others say if you are elite or a legend
or not. Getting attacked caring about my part of the scene
(e.g. cracking) or holding up old values and style is boring
me to death. Even a demoscener or a guy who can't code could see what is lame crap or not.
But nobody cares, so do I.
Yeah, those ignoring and "don't feed the troll" helped really a lot. I know some people who are dead because they
did the same or they had to struggle hard to kill the people
who they should have done sth against at first place.

The fact of a war in a community can be easily understood (I dont agree but who cares and I certainly dont), we are not in 1988. But seeing private life interfering in is less funny...That's an obvious proof that some of them can absolutely not make the difference between private life and the "scene" and it leads to stupidity pushed to its paroxism. |

I was aware of the malicious actions and I find it very weird.
However, petty actions like banning someone from a forum will not let the problem go away. In fact, it might make it even worse:
A) hostility provokes exactly the behaviour you DON'T want
B) the banned person comes back under another name, so you'll loose track of him
Ranting on a forum will create more reason, putting pictures online to proof harassments will create trophies.
It's like a cheap sci-fi TV show where the monster is fed by the energy of the space ship that tries to get away. In the end it strengthens the monster and crushes the good guys.
The more you struggle, the more you get strangled. |

I couldn't disagree more, and here's why. These sceners who cross the line and harass in real life crave an audience. If you take away that audience, they are less motivated to present their "trophies". I agree that it won't make them completely stop, but at least the rest of the scene doesn't have to deal with it on a daily basis. It also sends a message to others who consider doing such acts that they be will ostracized.
In the case of Wanderer and his supporters, they have done some really sick stuff that has caused some productive sceners to leave altogether. This is the part that where we have to join together to set some sort of minimum ethic standards otherwise the scene as a whole suffers and will lose more people.
Because of what WDR did, he was banned from several C64 sites. So WDR didn't leave the scene. The scene left him...and we're better for it. By allowing the deviants to have an audience is more like the cheap sci-fi show that you mention. Banning them is like changing the channel.
The more we join together and fight for what is right, the less people will mess with you. Conversely, if you give up and look the other way, the harassers then know that their tactics work and will continue.

Is the C64 scene to wimpy to do this? No. But some moderators need to really take a stand and stop playing around.

Secretman/Troublemaker: I attack you for your help with Wanderer against ALIH (and his family and friends) and the other sceners you attack with spam and fake website propaganda (again, together with known sociopath, WDR).
On a scene-level, I also detest a recracking, shit-releasing double member of the reborn Crypt. But this is another matter. If it was only just that, you should be allowed on this database. But due to the first point mentioned above, you should be removed from here. |
