Date in search results

It would be very helpful to have the date of the release in search results, especially for large result sets. Would make it quicker to pinpoint the actual release among the set.

I'd love that aswell! Sorted by release date would be a great addition to search results :-)

Added date for search result on releases for starters. No sort option yet, and date only for releases.
Picked some random color for the date so it is easy to spot. :)

Great Perff, just wondering. I tried to search on myself aka "scarzix" and find some SIDs I did back in time, but my latest releases arent show in search results? so if anyone decides to search for me, only 23 years old stuff show up? Howcome, have I marked my releases wrong? I was eg. Credited in Scrollwars and CheeseCutter to name a few real releases?

the SID database comes from recent HVSC, so you'll have to wait until next update :)

BUT - this only works in normal, not in advanced search?

Okay, so if you are credited in a release from a group release, like our Scrollwars/Offence demo, it does not show up when you search for a person. Unless you are a musician and the SID you made is already imported from HVSC?

Say what? So I cant search for a coders releases if he is just part of a group ? Nor a graphic artist?

Not sure I get it.

Scarzix: latest HVSC update is from end of june 2013, all the sids found from that date, until next HVSC release due at end of december, are NOT YET available as sid in HVSC, so they won't be found of course. When HVSC#60 will be out, Perff will update the sid database also here so they will be found by searching them as sids, and me and others will link the sids to their respective entries. It's not like one releases a tune and it will automagically shows up in HVSC. It's all a manual work. So be patient. Your credits for music are shown anyway in your scener entry, and in all the releases using your tunes.

iAN CooG: its not what I am saying. :-)

I am wondering why none of the releases (as in PRG/demos I have made this year) doesnt show up when you search for "scarzix". I dunno if I am just a newbie not understanding CSDb.dk or the search algoritme just has errors/flaws?

But I find it rather strange that the "normal search" gives me:

Your search for 'scarzix' in SIDs found the following 28 results :

28 SID matches...

BUT not SCROLLWARS, not that I have released some of my tunes as seperate PRG files and not the CheeseCutter editor where I am credited.

Its not about me, but how the search doesnt show real results - or is the search only for SID results?

I completely understand that the HVSC isnt updated realtime. No problem about that, 100% logical to me as its a manual action and you can't do this everyday. But searching for a coder, graphic artist, swapper etc. something where we have attached/linked our name/handle into a release, ought to show up if there is any point in select these things when releasing - at least thats how I see it from a SQL database point of view. I dunno how this site is configured, but currently I think the search has room for improvement.

A default result ought to show what a "scener" has produced or been part of, doesnt it?
