Swedish party this summer - date?
Hello freaks!
Another Swedish party (such as LCP/St:LCP/BFP/Floppy/etc) will be held this year in july. The partyplace is the same as the one for last year's St:LCP, but now with more tables and a slightly "bigger" approach in general (more like BFP).
There are basically two options regarding the date:
1. 17-19 july
2. 31 july - 2 august
So, please... All of you who seriously consider going there, make a vote for either 1 or 2!
Just wanna check if either date is clearly better than the other, or so.

I don't see a problem. It's not like people won't find a place to sleep.
The area between the party hall and the kitchen is still completely free (and people were hardly filling that area last year) and people can still sleep in the main hall. In fact, the arrangement of tables last year was kind of spatious.. It is no problem bringing in more tables in there without necessarily filling up the area. Remember that almost half the party hall did not contain tables last year? ...AND you can always sleep under tables too (I usually do).
Also, I should add, it is possible to put up a few tents outside, in case someone should prefer that.
So, all in all, I don't see any real reason to bring this up as if it was a problem. I might also add that I have arranged 10+ parties so far, and we've had no problems with the place being so full that you can't sleep on any of those, including the ones with smaller party places than this (relative to the number of visitors).
...but of course; In case you are the kind of person that need 10 meter of free space in all directions around you, then I guess computer parties aren't the place to stay overnight. ...but that is another question. |

From the site news:
"HCL signed up something like 2 seconds after I wrote the previous news entry. He is awarded eternal glory and double vote-power in the compo!"
Well, that is the only thing he'll win this time around. ;) |

Raising expectations are we? :) Anyways, I'm up for a party co-op with BD. Why not link the demos together some hours before deadline David? :D |

Here I am trying to stir some healthy competitiveness, and you guys keep patting each others' backs? What I was hoping for from HCL was a reply like "wuhaHA BD will make a demo that will crush Instinct like the bugs they are!". Seems like I haven't quite figured out the motivation-dynamics behind demomaking. Sorry. ;) |
