..and agree with Groepaz. Fuck that! I heard rumours that after 2 VSP-crashes they switched from Lamo-Board to a VSP-safe c64. WTF?!! Why didn't you run it on a VSP-safe c64 from the beginning, expecially since Peacemaker had made it overly clear that this demo uses helluvalot of VSP. Would have beaten most other demos an not ended up on lamo-7th-place :P.

that's why we create vsp-free demos ;-) even censor threw out 2 vsp parts (to bob's annoyance) :-)

I have used VSP in ~all~ Booze-demos since i learned it in ~1992 (someone check all our demos to confirm that.. :P) ..and i have never experienced a crash at a compo.

..oh yes, once.. when i coded a part for Arcanum / Xenon :P. Looks like i'm the kind of guest you don't want in your demos ;)..

IMO VSP is not really an effect that works on the C64. I treat it as such, i.e. I don't use it.

I loved it there, but where was the coffee? Finland requires coffee!

Quoting Burglar
Aomeba, coffee was not in the main hall, but in one of the dorms, where we also served breakfast.

Damned, this means I am officially dumb. We even asked at the main desk (where we signed up), and we were told there's no coffee. It's not a major problem though, the party was great and especially the voting system worked smoothly.

It could have been me who told you there was no coffee. If so, I am very sorry about that.

I did not know this, I just assumed there wasn't any. What I should have done, not knowing it for an absolute fact, is walking with you to the coffee machines and check out if it was available. And if not, I should have checked out if we were able to make some coffee.

I have failed. I am no coffee drinker myself and I did not realise it is almost a nessecity for a lot of people. Stupid me. Nothing to do with lazyness, always glad to helping people out. But I guess it could've been me suffering from some sort of momentarily mental derangement... altough I really hav'nt got the foggiest idea about how that could have happened to me.

Fear not, those 5-6 cups I had in the morning prevent me from going full Hulk rage during the daytime. Every missed cup of coffee later in the day is just slight discomfort.

Dont worry HCL. Its not your fault and i would work with you together anytime again. I see it in this way, in April or May this year, when i wanted to start coding a demo, nobody else has been active / interested in Hitmen. So, without you, there would be no Hitmen demo at all ;) And you, beside the parts you did, helped me a lot with other stuff too . Its all good and has been a pleasure to work with you , also with linus and carrion.

One could also try to tame it.
