straight from YOUR playlist
if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun. |

Miilkbone - Keep It Real (Instrumental) (1995)
awww yeah. blasting favourite hiphop loops for this afternoon. this one is a classic. I first heard it used in a Big L & Jay Z freestyle many years ago but in edited form.
Big L & Jay Z - 10 Minutes Freestyle
this unedited version wasn't spread around until years later. the quality of the edited version most people heard wasn't the best.

Not too fond of SID remixes in general and this barely qualifies as such (more like inspired by), but for some reason I really enjoyed the cheesy vocal parts in this:

Randall has heard it already, and most of you (taking on swedish children programs from the 80:ies), still great:

Some guys taking on the retro sound comes not only from Florida & Chicago, US but with art from different countries. I was used in one:

Only complaint really is that it is too short. Can recommend this guy's soundcloud in general.
