pouet dev

moi,

am developing/enhancing pouet.net site, got couple questions for csdb maintainers:

- is there an official 88x31 csdb button to add on pouet "we like..", i'm in deep need of one. ;)

- should i add possibility for pouet.net users to add their csdb id number (and have a linkt to http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/?id=xx on pouet.net/user.php)

- should i add possibility for pouet.net party.php to have a link to the same csdb event? it's always alot more informative than pouet's party.php page.

- similarly, should i add possibility for pouet.net groups.php to have a link to the same csdb group?

the reason i'm asking this is because i'm currently developing party.php more and thought it would be nice for c64 sceners browsing pouet prods and groups to go to the csdb counterpart faster, since its alot more informative; but dunno to what extent you'd want the john does and pc lamers that usually troll around pouet snooping around on csdb more then usual.. so i thought i should ask csdb ppl before implementing anything on that department.. could appear to be abit steping on your toes if i didnt ask your permision or something...

let me know what you think :)

jailbird is happy, I am not, how about adding a machine type for each release? (c64, c128, plus4, vic20, petc, etc)

Sounds like an Opera user, too? ;) :)

Quote: Since the C64 release-pages on Pouet are/could be linked to CSDb pages, why not make it vice-versa? Is there a possibility/need for that? It's a duouble gain for those who paralelly check Pouet and CSDb for the same release.

why not doing it for pouet user profiles, too?
pouet already links to ojuice, slengpung,
csdb profiles

Well, I don't think that the Pouet user-page contains any interesting informations. Latest 1st comments, thumb down/up agreers, uploaded screenshots, etc means nothing to me, it's more like a fun-page. Hovewer, I'm not completely against the suggestion...

I disagree. the "Information" section on the top is very interesting and useful. The rest is not useful (I agree here =) )

Nice to hear you would say "OK" to it, though :)

you could talk with melwyn to get sceneID xml thing working..

i mean, i can give you list of pouet users which filled in their csdb user id field (already did) but they are little number. if one would cross validate csdb login id with sceneID you could simply xml query all that other info (ojuice, icq, country, whatever) from sceneID... but its melwyn who handles sceneID stuff, im just pouet upkeeper. :) melwyn at scene.org should reach him if you're interested :)

Ok, but all those informations (and even more) could be found on CSDb as well, why would I check the Pouet user-page for that? :)

No, they cannot be found for all users in CSDb, that's why.
Also the links to the other scene related pages (I have mentioned them above) can also not be found linked to in CSDb.
