straight from YOUR playlist
if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun. |

...or anything off their 1983 "Touch" album. Brilliant minimalist production!

@JCB: thanks for the PTH ref, love it.. Just dusted off the dir with Megadeth, My Dying Bride, The Gathering, Ministry, etc.. :-)
YouTube starves me from the stuff linked to by the Swedish guys? I get this dreaded screen telling me that one 'cannot access it in your country', which happens to be Germany momentarily :-) |

cunninglynguists f/ tonedeff - the gates
that's what i love rap music for. beat 10/10, voice 10/10, lyrics 10/10, flow 11/10.
if kno's and tonedeff's joint album finally comes out, i expect great things indeed. |

This is one of my favorites in the progressive rock genre, this one from 1971.
The production on the record is very crisp!

Flotsam & Jetsam "Hard On You"
In the face of all the progressive stuff that has been posted in this thread so far (my picks included ;D) - just a straightforward thrash metal track, but it's kept me under its spell since the initial release of "No Place For Disgrace" in '88. Quite underrated album, and I keep waiting for it to be released as a remastered version, because the original production doesn't give it justice :)
Oh, and back in the day - thrash metal band covering Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting"? Those guys surely had balls! :)
I also happen to love the lyrics, which inspired this thingy: Art Femina #1 / Hard on You :) |
