straight from YOUR playlist

if you encounter a piece of sound so great you want to hang yourself for not being able to write something of similar quality...
if you think you've just found the best music ever made...
if you think a certain song/tune/symphony contains some unusually awesome elements...
...and you want to share it with other c64 composers and not necessarily via your facebook wall, just do it here.
explanations, reviews and so on warmly welcome.
one link per day max.
have fun.

I just had to - sorry, I promise to shut up for the next 50 days :)
These are 51 tracks that "what-Randall-said-in-the-first-post". I'm just such a complete sucker for heavy metal acoustic intros, and this is my tribute to them :)

Thanks Linus, tlr... Gentle Giant and Yes could have come from my list :-)

Which brings me to something a bit different... didn't find the studio version, so a lofi live vid has to suffice.
Not really 'progressive' but at least playing a bit with 'timing dropouts' :-)... actually I like a few of their songs.

Interesting finds!

When writing, I like the slow pace, dry beats, Yasmine's superb vocal skills and overall crisp sounds of the album Enta Fen by the Lebanese band SoapKills. Try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLZvk03K1wY or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmwkFt4k2kw for an introduction.
