Composers' real life
Hi, 8bitters
I'm always wondering what the C64 composers are doing in real life, of course not their private lives but musical.
For example, I know that Reyn Ouwehand is a live instrumental musician, I'm very proud of it, but dunno about a lot others whom I rarely see on CSDB.
e.g. I've managed several times to get reply from Jeroen Tel, Shogoon, and I saw them with guitars on some pictures..and I'm very curious if they are playing in band or compose on other platforms, etc.
I love Cosmic and its alternative bass and also wondering during listening if Stainless Steel is a funky-musician.
If you have news about them to share with us, or if you are a composer and want to tell about your activities, it's the topic I think.
This can help us by knowing where they got the influences/motivation from, how they could make these great compositions.
E.g. I'm mainly a bass player & singer, I have a pop-band, but my best dream is to play in a C64 remixer band, like "Press Play On Tape."
If you're interested in this topic, I'm excitedly waiting for replies.
READY.

I'd be hard pressed to give a definite answer, but I'm leaning towards Deenen has been a member of Hotline.

First and foremost, greetings to you all!
It is very nice to see that C64 scene is so alive, after all that years! :)
Between 1989 and 1994 I composed dosens of tunes for finally unreleased projects. After that I continued composing and sound tweaking in real-life environment. I've been playing guitar since 1990 extensively (yep, back in time C64 was my first instrument, before my final weapon of choice) so I became a touring musician, released records, worked both as a mainstream broadcast / underground music producer, and after a 15-years long loop as it seems I'll be producing C64-related stuff again, as time allows.
The reason of digging out my old stuff is a SID remix album that was started in April, 2009. I could work on that only in time pits that other recording jobs allow, but it will be in mixing / mastering phase soon.
Commercial noisemaking:
1999-2002 Radio1 - sound tech / production
2002-> - YO radio, all-round recording, tech and production man
Underground noisemaking:
http://www.myspace.com/rkhband - RKH was my first band, 1993-1996. Big pause, then reformed in 2004. Now recording vocals for the next album. The bang-up site will be updated with new content/design, soon.
http://www.myspace.com/wackor - Wackor is my second band in timeline, going strong from 1996 onwards. Man, we played over a thousand gigs with them crazy bros' all around :)
- My 3rd band, Funkenstein (1995-1997) has no net-archive, yet. We plan to continue the project with the bassist somewhere in 2010.
http://www.myspace.com/superbutt - I'm not a member of Superbutt but they borrowed me and my guitar many times for their EU tours. Lots of miles behind :)
http://www.myspace.com/bitbeatking - My project studio ref site.
http://www.myspace.com/necropolo - ...and for last, the basic myspace site that I put together in a haste for future SID-related projects.
Cheers,
Mikk / NecroPolo |

And Andy/Graffity runs a music shop, www.absolute.hu.
As for me, I play piano and recorder - badly. (I also have a guitar. I can play the first few notes of "Nothing Else Matters" - 'nuff said :) )
