Videos of Releases and other ideas

I think a very cool feature for CSDb would be to allow maintainers to add links to YouTube videos created of the release in action. Not everyone has the requisite hardware to run all the releases, and for some getting VICE set up correctly to replicate the intended effect of the release can be a challenge. Being able to link to videos on YouTube would be super awesome when you are just casually browsing the repository of releases.

I think another cool feature for releases would be an NTSC/PAL flag. This would be a searchable field so that you can easily weed out unwanted results from searches.

Not hard to get a PAL C64 really, just watch eBay for a while and you'll find one or two. I've picked up three working PAL C64s through eBay over the past two years.

That's still ridiculous to suggest that everyone who wants to watch a demo in NTSC land should buy a 220V inverter, PAL 64 and PAL capable monitor to watch it on. I'm not giving up my NTSC 128 setup to watch a few demos. There's such a thing as limited desk space and I don't have enough for two Commodore systems. Puting the demos on YouTube is perfect for casual browsing.

Meanwhile abuse the aka-field or add the link to the video in the user comments.

Youtube would spoil the precious vote-system? :-)
Who'd want to be downvoted based on 25 fps low-q shit?

Well, it's not that I care about videos but why don't you consider other video sites (or even building your own video server) which supports 50 FPS? As I said, I don't really care about videos but don't refuse an idea just because of youtube's limitations.
