Quote: After a bit of soldering, it's possible to add a PS/2 keyboard connecter and an IEC serial bus; power up with the K key down for NTSC and CTRL for PAL and it drops to BASIC and works like a stock machine... apart from all the nice new features.
It's all sounding like lots of money, PS2 keyboads, the DTV, then there's the hunting down for the lead ;)
Soldering neh problem though :) |

Well, a PS/2 keyboard is about a fiver (i get these great laptop style keyboards from me local market) the DTV itself is twenty quid from Argos or Special Reserve and the only cabling needed is the ones to connect the ports to the board so i'd guess about another fiver give or take from Maplins. Thirty to thirty five quid should cover it and it'll connect to a stock serial cable to talk to the drive after that... i'll have a more accurate idea soon, it's an ongoing project for Sack/Cosine since i can't see to solder. =-) |

Xbow is no doubt a legend in C64 scene. Hopefully the DTV will not distract him from the Original C64. or maybe there is no other vic trickery or inventions left... |
