The Galleon 25th Anniversary Edition
I am planning to make a new, boxed release of my old adventure game called "The Galleon" during the next months in limited number. Hopefully already for the Arok Party 20 in August (or until September at latest in the worst case). I have launched an Indiegogo campaign for it:

Folks, the announcer was way too humble for his own good.
Don't let him fool you into skipping over this BIG announcement!
"A gálya" (The Galleon) is one of the Top 3 Hungarian cult adventure games, a legendary local videogame by a famous oldschool designer/developer.
A boxed and digital download release of the English version later this summer is something to watch out for by collectors and adventure/CRPG gamers alike.
If you can help his IndieGogo project in any way, be it financial support and/or promotion, please do so. Thanks! |

Hey guys, that so-called "digital download" is available for free to anyone (as it has always been). I have just written a long update for the Indiegogo page, to clean the things a little up, please check it there.

Any idea when this will be shipped to backers? The last update was that it will be available by mid-October. Now it's mid-November and there have been no further updates unfortunately. |

I got a reply and the game isn't finished yet.
The author replied with:
"I shall make it ready till the end of the year at the latest. I will continue posting some new updates at the main page soon. Sorry for the long delay, and thank you for your patience if you don't give up.".
So fingers crossed. :-) |

I still haven't received the game yet and the author is not responding to requests anymore. I don't think this will ever see the light of day. There goes my money. |

Same here and I'm done with Kickstarter even if the game will be delivered some day. Well it is the second time (the other one is Unkown Realm) ending up like this... Thank you. |

I have learned patience with this hobby a long, long time ago, and also a practically indestructable optimism.
Didn't get involved with this one, but I have heavily invested in Unknown Realm, and I know it will be finished one day.
Same with Pinball Dreams, btw, which I am also very much looking forward to. |

At least, d64 version is available at author's site:

I think it's safe to say at this point that we won't ever get the game. That's truly disappointing, also on a personal level as the author refuses to respond in emails (which he did before). Sad story. Well it is what it is now. |

overflowing with indestructible optimism. I could be wrong but I would expect the heat death of the universe to occur before either title ever appears fully complete. :) |

I'm all with Bugjam here... procrastination actually *does* occur, even in and around the c64 scene;)
Thinking of ideas and projects I had and still hope to finish some day, we're speaking of decades rather then weeks or month...
So for rosetif: take your time* and make us happy (*Corona happens to have freed up quite some, no;)??) |

There is a big difference between something you do for fun in your sparetime and something you ask other ppl to give you money for though :=) |

This yet again shows that the real evil is (in the) money ;)
Not saying that ripping off is ok in any way, but... I still think that this was not intended and that the project will be finished one day. |

Thats one reason for why i have not set up a "patreon" page for VICE (or other things i work on) - once you take money, you have to deliver. No excuses. |

So now we have 2022 and STILL the game is not available to those who backed it, nor was there an update from the author. His last update is from 2020. I'll call this a loss now. A shame. |
