Back after 35 years, which "mega" demos will blow my socks off!!

Hi,

Apart from the current Top 10 Demos, Next Level, Mojo, Coma Light 13, and so on. What have I missed?

When I left the 64 in 87 for the ST and Amiga, 64 demos were just an intro, scroller, press space and that was it.

What I find is amanzing is the ones I've mentioned above, are like Trackmos/Megademos on the Amiga - I didn't even know that was possible!

Anyway, which "megademo" is a must have?

Thanks, hope everyone is well.

Quote: Top or notable demos for each year would be a nice resource.

Assembly64 does it for you already with its top20 demos an top20 onefilers per year collections. To an extent though, as 'notable' and 'top ranked' are not always synonyms.

Actually the top20 demos gives you much more than just the top20 per year, which is nice.

Very impressive and stylish! I have missed this beauty before! It is unusual demo. Thanks for sharing!

Anyway, as far as essential modern-ish C64 trackmos go, I think a lot of sceners (from the C64 scene and beyond) still hold Edge of Disgrace in very high regard. My personal favourite might be Old Men in Used Cars.

Yes mate. :)

I wish more people actually would. Lots of fantastic productions that, for whatever reason, went totally under the radar and have just one or two votes, thus not making it into any lists.

This kinda warrants for its own topic though. :)

Over on Pouët they call it "coup de cœur". Feel free to open a thread about them. =)

Here's tooting my own horn with a somewhat underrated (at the party, at least) demo: Minimalmo :)

@Frostbyte i think it is good idea to make such thread. There are so many gems that were missed by many.

@Krill i was shy to ask you to blow your horn. I'm glad you did it after all.
