12 minutes? that's quite long. how about using a sensible length of time?

Contestants widely debated minimum playtime last edition but ultimately 12 minutes turned out quite manageable. Still, it's surely rough and forcing much of copy/paste :P |

3 weeks to go!
I opened the 2 sid version of the Goattracker the other day. It is sooo easy to start doing 2 sid stuff nowadays. Ended up fiddling with some 6 channel chord progressions for a few hours, then closed the computer never saving any of it :(
Perhaps one of these days... |

*doh* - what a pitty :-(
This has also happened to me way to often. Working on a track, getting interrupted leaving the window open / C64 on and then when you have to leave the house in a hurry quickly closing / shutting off everything. |

@Mixer: doesn't compo end by the end of March? ;) Dates never included voting week, only submission period :P |

My understanding is submissions until 25 March, voting until 31 March, then winner announced 1 April - is that right? |

It would look like this, apparently. But I've never encountered online csdb events with voting phase embedded into event scope ;) If events ends on 25th of March, it should have this day marked as end of compo ;) |

Pardon my CSDB conduct. I believe the intention is clear in the rules description, but the dates are as Jammer mentioned confusing.
I am happy to extend this deadline by a week, if there is someone still planning to submit, and has not due to the misunderstanding.
If, then, please say hep. |

Ok, extended time:
Submit your entries latest during Sunday 31.3.2019. Voting ends sometime week later on Sunday 7.4.2019, and the status at that moment determines the winner.
I am probably off grid, so there may not be any further announcement about the deadline. |

Unfortunately I am not able to finish my track atm :( I have no monitor actually and using SW with Vice is just horrible. There are so many shortcuts I am not able to reproduce on the pc, the sound is different...very frustrating but I have to find a new apartment first and re-setup real hardware - better than releasing complete crap. Be it as it is, I am very excited to hear all the entries later today |

Most entries got around ten ratings, one entry only had 5 votes by the end of the competition, and one had 22.
Competition this time has not been very popular based on number of votes cast.
Voting activity could have been helped by producing browsable recordings. Unfortunately this time I had no time to do it.
Thank you, and lets see again in few years. |

Thanks for running this one, Mixer, and thanks all for the tunes!
I missed the voting window, but didn't shift any of the results when I got around to it last week.
Neon Haze was robbed IMO, much as I concur that the right three tunes were medalists ;-) |
