Handle id #4121 : Jason Page
dude making (un-)real music for real people in this millenium!
if you feel like everything after the 80s was wrong way, check his tunes out, esp. if you ain't into arty-farty funk/jazz/ambient/whatnot... this is really sth you can just _simply_ love the same as top notch 80s game tunes |

Hello. Thanks for the kind words ;-)
I'm still lurking / fixing GTUltra / adding features to GTUltra and then fixing GTUltra....
I'm also playing a set here on Friday: https://ra.co/events/1715458
But, yeah, work has meant I've not has as much time to write SIDs as I'd like to. |

The dude's tunes from his early Sony years are a blast - full of energy. Loved that stuff when I was a kid... and now I'm in a music group with him. See, dreams can come true!
Get on this burner and dream about owning a Net Yaroze kit. :D |

Thank God he didn't die. (That's the main worry when "Handle id #" on currently/recently(-ish) active people pop up.) |

Yes, it's like when you see <name of musician you like> is trending on Twitter.
Glad you're still tinkering, Jason. Your nth series in particular is epic - and all that from single speed SidTracker64. |

I also immediately thought about death. Anyway, yes, some good stuff among Jason Page's music for sure. Actually, just the other day I realized this is the same person as the Paradroid 90 soundtrack on the Amiga and some other things I am familiar with. Never too late to connect the dots. |

Sadly, we've already reached that stage when any mention is a potential obituary :D |

You can't PM dead sceners on CSDb, so posting in the forum is the only possibility... |

The idea that people might become appreciated for their work while still being alive is such a crazy one, indeed. |

Sorry for praising undead people, aim was neither to worship nor to whine about inactivity, rather to point peeps to Jason's stuff, for in one beery night I checked some stuff on (un)real hw and found that next to all my disk(image)s from pre-pandemic time had a couple of Jason Page tunes on it worth listening to for a while.
PS: Also sorry for bashing the arty farts (in case anyone felt bashed), Linus, Mibri, Jammer etc. know that I've got enough love for them, too :D |

I don't think Ryker has anyone to apologise to here, for any reason. :D
I will say that Jason does have some cutting-edge finesse about his music though - he isn't just a straight-up SID clobberer (irrespective of how much fun SID clobbering surely is!) Also a shit-hot programmer, as I understand it. |
