I should point out, it's a lot more obvious what it's saying on real 8580 hardware than on the emu. And on 6581 it's a mess, but you expect that from an 8580 tune |

alih, but it's done in an emulator, how would it accidentally sound more like it's supposed to be on the real thing? =) |

Well, it obviously is accidential. Believe it or not, even some goattracker tunes profit from being played on a real SID. ;) |

I can hear the "Aitch Veee Aaaijj Seeee" (HVSC) at start, then I'm not able to figure out the rest... :) |

Hehe, time to reveal what _I_ *think* the tune is saying. Jammer, step in and let me know if I'm right.
HVSC - HVSC
Uh-ah - come on! - ah
Uh-ah - come on! - ah
Uh-ah - he's got it!
Uh-ah - come on! - ah
Uh-ah - come on! - ah
Uh-ah - he's got it! (might be: it's started!)
Uh-ah - come on! - ah
What does it say at 1:00??? "what's that?"
1:08 "Hardcore!"
I'm especially impressed by the male voice shouting "Come on!" and "Hardcore!". Also the distorted shout "HVSCeeeee" at 1:17 is pretty kewl. :-)
That's all I understand clearly. There may be more inside, Jammer? |

We happen to have tested some recent drive related changes in VICE .... and noticed this d81 does not work (after intro it loads a bit, then screen flickers and it doesnt continue, looks like debug/error screen to me).
Could someone test the d81 on real hardware please?
Also, if you can actually make it work in VICE, please tell the exact version. I want back as far as winvice 2.0, and it does the same thing there. |

Weird indeed. The intro doesn't load the menu, but if loaded directly, the menu program loads the musics just fine from the d81. |
