As I said in PM, this needs more than a merge... it needs to be completely looked over and fixed. Once Nate changed to Vanessa all past references to Nate were removed and all credits changed to Vanessa... it's a real mess.
Digital Audio Concepts was founded by Nate Dannenberg
Sound Studio 128 and MODPlay64 were coded by Nate Dannenberg
etc.
I'll do all the merging/updating if someone with the access to unlock entries will unlock:
Digital Audio Concepts
VanessaE
Sound Studio 128 V3.8

Shouldn't the 2007 releases of ModPlay (fixes by Ian Coog) be credited to her currently used handle (VanessaE)? |

Why was my post including Vanessa's male style deleted (w/ photo), are you anti-Transsexuals? |

I think it's better to credit Nate, because he made modplay 1.2 from which I based my fixes |

Ian: yes, that version was released under her old name/handle, however since your fix is a new release from 2007, shouldn't it should be credited to her current handle/name instead of the old one? |

Just read it.
Thumbs up for Vanessa she was so brave to go her way. Good luck to you, if you ever read this!
When reading that passage about her step father, I get so fucking angry. My temper grows and my fists clench. May he burn in hell. |

I don't think so, Vanessa didn't actually do anything to deserve a new/changed credit. MODPlay v1.2 was created by Nate and thats how the credit should be stated.

I can sort of see your point, it just feels wrong to me somehow. Nate and Vanessa are not two different people. Personally, if I was to release an updated version of anything she did back then I would credit her using her new name, because that is who she is now. Using her old name feels somewhat disrespectful considering what she has gone through, though I'm sure that wasn't the intention. |

vanja: I really do get your point, but in this case there shouldn't be any problems with keeping release entries with historically correct credit names, since she herself openly speaks about her male past. |

radiantx: I'm talking about releases from 2007 here though. |

vanja: Yes, I read the thread sloppily, thanks for pointing that out. I support your position on the matter then. |

Sorry, I don't see how someone else modifying MODPlay64 aquaints to Vanessa getting a new credit for old work.

Moloch: you mean the release should only be credited to Ian Coog? |

yawn.
Modplay was done by Nate, should be credited as Nate because at the time of the release of 1.2 he was Nate. He wasn't involved in my fixes but not even Vanessa. But still I don't want to be credited for original code and code belongs to Nate.
VanessaD/VanessaE/Vanessa "whatever" did not release anything since gender change, except a plasma.prg done while on #c-64, correct If I'm wrong. This is becoming like the WrathDes thread, nicks used at the time of releasing should be used, and I agree. If it's so troublesome, remove nate from my fixes and put a link to the original 1.2 |

Krill's loader is always credited to him using his current handle, even if it's a version released while he was still called Mystic. |
