Very sad news. I am thinking that he, Barry and others are sharing a beer and having a chat in a better place. |

I remember reading that article, actually the first time I talked to Jerry on the phone he said something like "Maybe you're surprised that I sound like an old guy"
and I said:
"Nah, I've seen your picture in Datormagazin!" :) |

I don't believe in a life after death, but if there is one, I'm sure he's cruising around in a SAAB 99, eating fresh tomatoes and astounding beautiful blondes by telling them about his amazing demo collection, his time as an AXE-programmer and his interest in trains.
I will always remember him, for being the best leader a group can have -- always a perfectionist and always supportive. I will remember him for all his anecdotes. I will remember him for his enormous collections of 64-software and hardware. I will remember him for his SAABs, his train car and his lovely X-Mas cards.
May the tomatoes be with you, always! |

Sorry to be slightly off topic, but I wonder: What is the vinyl album that someone shows in that photo? Does it actually have something to do with the c64 group TRIAD, or is it just an album from some completely different group that happens to be named 'triad' too? |

I've always thought that this was the album from the swedish group Triad (Niklas Strömstedt, Lasse Lindbom, Janne Bark) of the "Tänd ett ljus" fame. Seeing the image again makes me think I was wrong. It clearly looks more metal.
If I recall it correctly, I believe Jerry told me that "this was just a record that one of the blokes brought along for fun". |

Right.. Makes sense. (I also thought that it didn't look like the "Tänd ett ljus" group, hence the question.) |

Can somebody post this picture with names of the sceners ;)
Also I do hope the Swedish Triad members will preserve this
big collection of Jerry. (Transferring the disks etc.) |

No worries about the collection, he arranged everything before he passed. |

Anyone know how long he continued to keep up his demo-collection?
Back when I was in Triad in '91 or so, he was very much into preserving pretty much every demo released. He even talked about looking into solutions for storing demos on some alternative media with longer life than magnetic disks etc. |

I have a hard time putting my feelings into words, but I second Tao's post. It's difficult to grasp that I will never again hear Jerry tell tales and anecdotes from past scenedays aswell as his life in general. He was an amazing storyteller, able to capture your attention no matter what topic he was talking about.
I can't even describe how much I miss him. |

I can't say much about Jerry. Because all I know about him (and that is not much) I have learned from the stuff I have seen and read over the years, nevertheless, the respect that he had earned was present in me as in anyone else in the scene. If I had to choose whom to call legend in the scene, Jerry would be definitely the biggest. RIP, Jerry.
with respect
