It would be easier to use two bitmaps (especially when I need to convert 192x200 image to sprites). First bitmap as a source and second with 24x21 frames on positions. |

Try pic2spr from Covert Bitops's C64 Tools collection, it cuts each 24x21 block from an LBM image into a sprite and source is included. |

The main purpose of sprcut is to easily convert hand drawn
sprites (and not complete pictures) to sourcecode or binary data.
I personally draw my sprites since years with a gfx program called 'pro motion' and not with tools like spritepad etc...
If you want to convert whole pictures, then sprcut is the wrong choice. In that case please try other tools...

Nice tool Duke, i have a question:
I was trying to convert a gif to sprites using timanthes, it does that, but it crashes always for me, timanthes. (a gfx editor here on CSDB)
So, any chance your tool could convert a gif ?
First reduce to 4 colors, then convert.
(in a very clever way, some kinda editor to find the correct colors, which i know wont be included, but could be - for the source, then its all set up. SPR_COLORS .byte x,x,x, background)

-edit:
i read that post from you again...
Sorry sprcut only handles *.BMP files in 256color uncompressed indexed mode.
If you still have problems contact me...
