Handle id #27413 : Fred Feinbein
I am still curious about the person behind this. This intro has always been a blast to me. |

Excellent hint! That leads us to the Amiga scener Fred Feinbein - that would also explain that there is only one release in the archive so far.

Perhaps from there more can be found out. |

Judging by the similarities between the upper amiga and the bottom c64 intro yeah i'd say thats him. |

The internet is quite amazing.
While playing on my DIY Arcade cabinet the Kids were wondering why I used "FBS" for the high score entry. I told them to google "Feinbeinsoftware" and in fact did that myself and ended up here.
No clue why the "War" release is mentioning "Feinbeinsoftware", but anyhow you're right before getting an Amiga in 1987, I had a C64 from 1983 on and spend my teenage years with learning to code.
You guys inspired me to upload 2 disks, which were salvaged when the first C64 emulation came for the Amiga.
Thank you for your interest... Cheers... |

Please don't throw 1 d64 filled with various stuff in one entry, make one entry per release, with the correct name, year and credits where possible. I can take care about identifying the tunes and their authors so don't bother about that. |

The purpose of the d64 format is to emulate one disk for a floppy drive. Splitting things up just because people are not used to load"$",8 and list and load might be kind of convenient but is not the idea behind it. Those 2 disks have aged quite well. Feel free to delete them or split them up yourselves. About the metadata, well, you could argue that they were written at the same year the sid was ripped. But otherwise this information is no longer present. |

As this is a database that is designed for each release, I have now helped out and splitted the files into different releases/files. It would be great if you, FBS, could check the different releases and set the appropriate release year.
Thanx for uploading your stuff! Appreciated! |
