Release id #236796 : Petscii Nightmares

Quote:
the .d64 files will be released here friday afternoon..

But why is this described as a "commercial release" then? I think you could have avoided some confusion by just taking the time to fill out the "summary" or "production notes" field with some of the info what the idea to release it in such a way (whatever way that is) is all about.

I would have already deleted the entry. The entry shouldn't be even created here before the dl link is available on the entry. It's created in the future. If it's being already handed to some people via snail mail means it's already released, not on the 10 *sigh*

Why not just delete it and wait for the d64? Silly.

If I understand correctly, the thing is already being spread, even if it's not yet here @csdb. My logic says it's already released and the release date should be set to this day. Whether or not it's downloadable here is irrelevant. Isn't the database full of past releases that are known to exist (or to have existed), but the files have not been found?

Known but lost releases are something else than this rather blunt marketing stunt.

Eh, nothing wrong with something being BBS exclusive for a bit.

You could maybe argue that the CSDb entry is premature, or that the "commercial release" comment needs to be replaced with a broader "this isn't available for download at this time", but I don't have an issue with it not being available here yet.
