Release id #155627 : Katakis +6DFI
Hi I noticed that with Action Replay active the Highscoresaver crashes. I have added a small routine which would disable the AR before the game starts. I've done it mainly for myself and it is a tiny mod, but was still wondering if this is something to be typically shared on CSDb or not? My thoughts are circling around sharing what's available vs. not flooding CSDb. Thoughts? |

Only be aware, if you fix it yourself and create an entry here or upload it anywhere, it's considered a "re-crack" or an "Import" (depending on how you do it/moon/karma...)
Proper way imho:
I suggest you contact Arcane via PM,
he releases a cart-kill patched 100% version
and gives you bugfix credits.
Or you contact E$G, the leader of the pack.
Chances are you might be talked into joining HF, though, which is okay, but MYD! also might take you as a cracker, your Wavy Navy from 2014 is still sth I recall even 10 years later, just sayin' :D |

I would contact E$G about it, and someone can fix whatever is addressing $de00-$dfff and making it crash, or handling $01, $0200/$0300/ZP locations or whatever else the issue is rather than disabling AR which the user can do.
Does it happen if you type OFF first? |

Problem with AR is that if you use a custom FL routine and later call a std kernal routine (LOAD/SAVE), AR uploads allways it's own drivecode which trashes the FL one. |

Hi, thanks for candid feedback provided - very helpful!
On the question raised by Fungus, no OFF command does not solve the issue. In my experience save way is to to perform reset.
I have pinged both Arcane and E$G as suggested and will leave to them to decide whether they want to pick it up or not. |
