nice melodies

Isn't that 100% subjective perception? :)

@chatGPZ: I guess it is. Maybe you can use the above mentioned 2SIDs as reference. Anyway just make 2SIDs in a way you think they are melodic and see what other people think about them.

@bansai:

I'm not 100% sure how profound an answer you're looking for but it goes like this:

> Go to Userpage
-> Add Release
-> "Name of your tune [2sid]"
-> Edit Release Information
-> Fill in the release type "C64 Music"
-> Released at: "Yogi's & Flex' Melodic 2SID Compo 2024"
-> (choose) Compo:
*** C64 2SID for Original tunes
*** C64 Music for Cover tunes

-> Fill in release date
-> Upload the Screenshot and fill in the credits
-> Upload Files (both .sid and .prg)

Then you can mention the rest of the details in "Production Notes". Like Mono/Stereo + 6581/8580 + Address of 2nd SID + in case of cover tune mention the original... etc..

So I hope that what I came up with is "melodic" enough for the compo.

I must admit, I really don't know what to do with 6 SID voices, so it's mostly "filler" stuff :-)

Well, just submitted mine. My first ever c64 compo! This one is a reworking of a tune I originally wrote on Sunvox. Tried to give some spatial/stereo effect to the synths. Appreciate any feedback.

Seeing there are only 6 entries until now, we decided to extend the deadline to 31 December 2024, 23.59 CET.
Come on SIDicians make some great melodic 2SIDs! :)
