Thanks all guests and remote competitors and Twitch Sofas.
All of you made the event big fun to organize and celebrate.

Detailed results will be published here on CSDb shortly. Missing uploads and information will probably be upped today/tonight. Of course competitors are free to upload their stuff themselves.

Will keep you posted!

Big ups to orgazizzers! How about setting up a camera stream next time so everyone can see how much fun they’re definitely having live? 😆🎥

That will require another venue with a different set of house rules.

How about attending the party in person instead?

House rules were somewhat more laid back this year already, e.g. it was allowed to take photos in main hall after we set up "Camera Surveillance" Posters. And c-base would have also allowed us to film the sofa on stage in front of one of the screens. We even had some warning lights for "camera operating" and explained to people on Friday what those lights were about.

Reasons why that didn't happen:
1. Half of the crowd were watching the competitions on THAT screen with sofa and camera around, that's why I thought it was not the best idea when I (6 ft seomething) sit/stand/fool around right in front of it with a mic, so no one but me could have seen much anymore...
2. Charlie operates more and more screens and keyboards every year... until he installs a 3rd arm and a 2nd head like Zaphod Beeblebrox, he needs other orgas right inside the Orga corner, even I had a few more jobs this year than only moderating and drinking beer while compos were running.
3. We had a bunch of cameras but none matched our system... I think some HDMI output would have been needed, finally we decided solving that problem (not impossible) would have been overkill (f...ing around with all the hardware once again, sending people to replace gear, panicking... while we were on air... or not change a running system and have dinner before prime time as scheduled, was an easy choice imho)

Bottom Line
In theory camera operation is not per se ruled out by c-Base.
I'm fine with the current way of things, anyway.

TheRyk: I understood Sage asking for live wide shots of the party hall - that is still ruled out, no?

Uh... Yeah, nothing new in that department... not that I know.

Totally what Krill sez, attend live for live feeling :)

PS: From Poland it's really just around the corner ^^
Even Bavaria is further away ;D
We had guests from Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Netherlands this year... in past years I remember Norway and Israel...

Ok, you got that 100% right! Thanks for the invite—no doubt the Skylight crew will have BCC on the radar for next year! 🚀😎
