Handle id #37778 : Martin

Basic Freak mentions comment from Count Zero:

"Original creator unknown currently. Previously linked Martin Grieb (Martin) is bollocks. He wrote the displayer only."

So that basically means we need to unlink all the entries assigned to him. All the graphics uploaded have the same displayer from Martin Grieb, if the displayer was created by him.

If it was just a displayer that could be used by anyone, why is it not uploaded?

All I can see now is that it is the same displayer used as in:

Galactica
Marilyn Monroe
Uridium
Antiriad
Tadsch Mahal
Ferrari
Stargate
Afterburner
Astronaut
Dieter Hildebrandt
Knight
Spaceship
Galactica

Linked to AKG-Soft Inc.

Only the SYS line differs.

This could mean that Martin did modify the SYS line and that he did release the graphics himself or AKG-Soft Inc. modified it as well.

What do you think?

@Count Zero, I think you made a guess that Martin made the displayer. I suspect he modified the SYS-line of the displayer, like others did, like AKG-Soft Inc., which might not be a group even.

The question now is, what do we want to do with all these uploads? Are they invalid to be on CSDb?

Should we reassign Martin to:

Ghostbusters
Basic Freak
Clown

?

The displayer came as part of the software package for the Diashow Maker cartridge, which lets you rip gfx out of running programs. Most (if not all) of the gfx are just ripped from games or diashows. So unless they are not contained elsewhere, they can be deleted.

Yeah, and thus, it's not only a "guess", there simply ain't no "graphician Martin G", hence the scener entry is also a goner.

Now what to do with the release entries:
- Strictly speaking none of these files qualify as an entry.
- Count Zero already started to delete or at least said so.
- Everything which is CLEARLY just a cartridge-plus-maker-generated rip of an original game title picture (or demo or you name it) is to be deleted.
- If after that deletion orgy anything remains that seems worth preserving and can't be credited due to missing tag, it must remain uncredited.

PS: And just judging from screenshots and some short checks of AKG-Soft Inc. = Same sh.. different name/SYS line..., so I'd suggest the same as above (unless that AKG really did anything with the piccies in addition to ripping and crunching and hacking sys line)
