Handle id #12834 : Gambler

One is said to be from germany, the other one appears to be dutch, but aren't they one and the same person?

Thanks for reporting.

Quite messy story, indeed.

The Dutch scener entry was created by Commander (Belgium) back in 2002. As Commander ain't here anymore (haven't met him for ages, neither IRL nor here), it's unclear why, maybe only because the dude was one of his contacts.

In 2006 Jazzcat created the German scener entry. In 2019 Dark Star linked that scener with German VGG. So far, so good.

Unfortunately in 2019 Iseman (ex-VGG) immediately after getting an account himself removed the VGG membership of German Gambler and added that Dutch dude as group member of Vicious Games Group and then the shit hit the fan:

As a consequence 5 different mass transferrers (including ex-CSDb mods) credited the wrong guy in 7 releases over the past 6 years, just because they did the right thing: check out in the Credits search dropdown which Gambler is the VGG one...

I fixed that now by putting the German Gambler back into VGG, move all wrong credits from Dutch Gambler to the German one and removing Dutch gambler from group.

Culprit Iseman's account is rotten dead, so I can't tell him off by PM, but if he ever wants to reactivate his account, some moderator will give him a good spanking first.

PS: In theory it's not impossible they are the same person, someone can have a Dutch name, speak/write in German and move back and forth to live on both sides of the border for some time, but there's not much evidence for it currently.
