Release id #51024 : American 3D Pool

Ok, just curious.

Some mod (since I had my entry locked) allowed someone to add the music-credit in this release.
I don't say it's right or wrong, I just want an answer:

Should there be some music credit in this release, and further releases?

Thx,

TWR

thats kindof tricky question....it shows a design flaw in the database.

but generally i thought that some time ago we agreed on only adding credits for the "scene part" of the releases (cracks that is).

Yep. My thought exactly.
People here for example, go berzerk if someone gives some "game" a vote for the game it self.

Wrong...

True you entry was locked but the musicians entry was not locked. So the person who did it most likely added the credits through the unlocked scener entry Sonic Graffiti. But other than that I agree that music credits doesnt belong in a crack.

This has become tricky now with the possibility to link to the sidfile. I agree that music credits doesn't belong in a crack entry but on the other hand I think it's perfectly ok to add a link to the included tunes...

Hm, I'd rather restrict that to the "scene part", that is the crack intro or docs file, be it sid tunes or credits. You can look up the sids or credits of the respective games in Gamebase or Lemon. We could have a db field for GB64 or Lemon ID (just like with pouet), but if it's getting too complex I doubt people would fill in all these fields... I for one wouldn't.

Not on cracks, no.

What Groepaz said. I was just being hypothetical, far away from requesting that crack intros get their credits.

Why shouldn't crack intros receive their credits? When having a crack it should contain credits for everything which was added by the crackers including intro creds, besides if you have a (scene) game in its original format then game credits should be added there.
