Handle id #18111 : Pasthor

how do i link this scener to Asthor?

=====================
Info obtained from Ramos:
Pasthot this Asthor: Pasthor
Pasthor <--- delete
=====================

Having been know under multiple handles, they all should be in csdb and clickable, correct?

ok well, the asthor entry is locked ... so do this:

enter all info you want to enter into your newly created pasthor entry...

then let me know, and i can try out the brand new scener-profile-merge-tool perff created =)

Well, I only created Pasthor in Pasthor
(only using first name and country as not to piss anyone of by mistake, but his full details can be found in the note in Capital Pack #1) to enter as member of Oxygen

However,
Pasthor
mentions Pasthor -> Skyscraper -> Pasthor -> Asthor as handlestory.

To be honnest I think a lot of entries still will not have second, third, etc. handles correctly in csdb but if I understood correctly they should be created incase someone is to be credited to them in the time that they used this title correct?
(for example I have releases under Bordeaux, Eze and Dr.Schnuggels to be able to credit them propperly)

In such case however I also wonder about groupnames.
for instance Oxygen is Oxygen64 -> Oxygen64 (renamed from Oxygen).
Shouldn't renamed groups officially have two entries to credit propperly?

Shit, i'd love to give a better one for you guys to test merging, but at the moment I'm having doubts what to do, you guys have any guidelines on renamed handles/groups?

for sceners who used different handles its easy... go to the "update" page, and choose "old handles used by this scener" and add the other handles there. if possible do NOT create seperate entries for different handles (sometimes it might be a workaround for when the original entry is locked, then you can enter the additional info in a seperate entry and have a moderator merge it with the existing entry)

as for groups, generally - for csdb - a new group name means its a new group and thus it should get a new entry. however in those cases where it a) is the same group with the same members and b) there were only minor changes to the name, and its obvious its the same group because of this then this info could be kept in the trivia field.

for example "cool crackers 2000" renamed to "cool crackers" would be a valid exception that could stay in a single entry. but "cool crackers 2000" renamed to "rulergroup unlimited" should be seperated. the latter is the general case. the trivia field can (and should) be used to point out that a group renamed, and link to the new group.
