Yeah, much respect for this awesome work! I'd just love to see this on a c64, but there is simply too much color for hires mode.

Nothing stops you from doing the same thing on C64, but I guess it'd have to be squarific.

...or hires monochrome. Could end up in a nice multidirectional multiscreen scroller... <3
Anyway, the original collab from that site is incredible stunning. Makes me believe in a peaceful hive ;-)

Cudos for using the c64 palette there. Much nicer than free choice. 1-bit bitmap would be a freaky challenge (or simply suck, I cannot judge)...

Impressive. The best part of it is Godzilla kicking King-Kong's face. ;)

Cresh: the best part is this gorilla's ass - light-red just rox here ;) giraffe's head rox aswell!

and o the picture itself:
It's just outstanding and I think it's also a good idea for pixeling:
I mean
"Let's-pixel-something-kool-like-We-do-not-have-c64-limitations"
Is something that was on my todo list for some time now but Ptoing did it first ;)
congrats Ptoing! - reaaaaly great job!

Thanks everyone.

It was really good fun.
Oswald: Basically I made the image with 91 empty hexagons and offered the corner 6 up for grabs. Done tiles were messaged to me so that others could not see them and I covered them up, put them in the image and coloured claimable tiles green. \o/

Fantastic. Although I had to read ptoing's explanation about 5 times to understand what he actually meant with "and offered the corner 6 up for grabs". Even tried a word by word translation back to German ;).

AMAZING PATCHWORK-ART!!!!!!!

Have you ever played that game, that requires 1 piece of paper, and a pen. Not sure what the name of the game is, but it involves:

Player 1: draws a head, and folds the paper so that the head is out of view
Player 2: draws a body, and folds the paper so that the body is out of view
Next Player: draws some legs, and folds paper so that legs are out of view
Next Player: draws some feet

Image is revealed ;)

I think there’s a demo part that does something similar on C64
