Carrion, some looks better on the C64 IMHO but some look truly amazing on the Plus 4. Good shit!

The dfli mode on the plus 4 looks very nice. Any two colors per 8x2 in hires. The interlaced variant has even more the wow factor. The plus 4 has 16 hues with each one having 8 luminance. Although this includes black which is the same color x9 (black sectionx8) and white section x1. Pity about the poor audio and lack of sprites however

IMHO, most of the pieces became dull and boring, especially Archmage's pictures. The high contrast and the unorthodox color-mixing is what made them unique.

However, Veto's and Leon's style (smudgy, water-painting/pastel alike pixelling) gains quite a bit when there are more than 16 colors to chose from.

First I was like. Wow, they look so much better.
But after looking for a while, the C64 ones has their own charm. The +4 versions became more "crisp & clean" in a way, and that isnt always a good thing. Like the Archmage and Duce pics.
However liked the plus4 version of "Tasmanian Dummy's Hangover". Gets me in a Amiga anno 1994 Melondesign mood ;)

Speaking for myself, that is not how my pictures are supposed to look. It is sort of like playing a tune on the wrong SID-chip. That said, it is an interesting experiment.

@archmage
yup - just an experiment and a way to inspire you and others to try 121 colors palete with regualr hires restrictions.
