IMO, better way of getting an attention is to make a new tune after 10 years of inactivity ;-) You've got a decent collection of listeneable songs. Hat off.

woo celticdesign my hero ;-)

Xover.sid is amongst the best sid tunes ever IMHO :) I used to listen to it atleast once a month since I've discovered it. So fucking brilliant, it stands out like an iceberg from the rest of the sid tune mass in HVSC. The really cool part starts from 1:00, after it sounds like a remix of a big hit out of the real world, very impressive stuff. Thank you for composing it, and making me smile every while and then when taking a listen :)

thanks!

you make me smile.

x_over1 is one of my last tunes.
i made it somewhere in 1993.

wow.. that means over 12 years of inactivity. but you know,
you have to go your way with jobs, girls and other things.

i will try to make some more stuff sooner or later in 2006. i still love the sid and the community and it's worth to keep the dreams and the true old school alive.

is there any "good" way to make it public? maybe some demogroups would be interested!?

it would be also great to see x_over1 in a demo :-)

feel free to use it.

Just code a little music collection, or a small demo :). A real *ware* is always better than a bunch of .sid (my opinion).

not sure about the others, but your tunes are known to me. due to playground trading, i had at least 3-4 demons of sound releases. what i don't remember is, if those were collections or just single executable tunes. all i remember is that the dos-logo came in different colors for every new release.

if you still happen to have these, could you upload them to csdb? they're missing in my collection nowadays.

I like DRAX's Domain eventhough I think that it sounds more Tel-like chordwise than DRAX-wise (especially around 00.47) :D ... There is also a very good lead in Tel it to Jeroen.

@dalezy:
i will try to sort them out, but give me some time. due to
a massive renovating i got no time for some true 64-hardware fun. i hope the old disks will still work.

@rambones:
thanks. my older works are pure bullshit. but you know,
everyone have to start somewhere and need to grow with his work. but thanks for your feedback :-)

@luca:
thanks. it's a good tune, but not perfect in my ears. you know, a musican is always "looking for the perfect beat" (afrika bambaataa & the soul sonic force).

@drax:
wow, one of my alltime sid heros give some feedback. i am impressed. :-]

thanks, man!! true, the tune have more tel-like elements.
i was always impressed by your works. you did alot of masterpieces at a time i could only dream to do something similar. your all in all arrengements where damn good and lightyears better than mine. simply, you are one of my alltime sid-god's.

@all:
keep on rockin' it

=:-)

LOL! HVSC contains everything of my ugly SIDs production, because I used to compose all my pre-1999 music without SIDchip via shitty wavecoverter's emulation on a Plus4! :D
No shame!

Xover_1.sid maybe is oldschool trance but if I should say something about it.

I'm not happy with the beginning 0:00:00 and to 0:00:12 should be skipped, even that the effect is used later in that tune, and is an imprensive effect.
00:00:12 I think the pianos is a great beginning for this tune, but I think it really begin the trance style after 0:00:57, there is also a good break after 0:02:28 the beginning come back with the pianos and the first part that I didn't like is better as effect listen on the time 0:04:11 to 0:04:24 where it begin to fade out as the end.

The others you must wait until I figure out how to describe these, so it could also just be this song only for comments.

A litte about Celtics_Mythos.sid the beginning reminds me of the Parallax tune, or the style of it, but it has also a touch of a demo tune. I have seen from a group called Reflex or was it Relax but dunno what the thenameisforthat tune,try to find it. :)

I just have a little question what is used for the different tunes, I don't think Future Composer v2.0 can create the Xover_1.sid song. ;)
