Digi-Organizer & 8580 SID

Hi!

I need to do a 4 voice tune. (SID + 1-Digi)

The problem is that my tune is already 8580-fixed and Digi-Organizer does not support digi-playback on the new SID. :(

What can I do? Need help!

Dear Bamu,

Your tune is not 8580 fixed.
You are just too lazy to write it again in an editor that handles both SID and samples.

Also, it's a clear sign of bad planning, as you should have checked if your software could produce the result you wanted.

"8580 fixed"
This means that I do not want to play it on the old (crap) SID. ;)
It's impossible to port it to another editor, since I would lose all the quality sounds.

There's your answer: it's impossible.
What do you want us to say now?

*Sigh*,... it would be impossible to rewrite this tune f.ex. in Rockmonitor - absolutely impossible.

When posing a question like above, it is good manner to explain a bit more about what you did and what you want.
Elaborate on what you've tried and what would not work in your opinion.

Personally I'm also against terms like "I need to do".
Noone needs to do a 4 voice tune on a C64 nowadays.
One needs to eat and breath, the rest is trivial.

How on Earth can you expect from us to come up with some extensive answer if you yourself only put minimal effort in communicating your problem?

So, now... try again to persuade us.

P.S. I expect TDJ or others to make some lame joke about the needs of a scener.

Ok, I need a Digi-Organizer that plays Digis on the 8580 (maybe some pulse-width hack). That's all! Thanks! :)

No, you don't need it.
You'd like to know if it exists and if it does, you'd like to use it.

Ground the ext-in pin of your 8580 directly from the chip. The only drawback is that you will hear volume clicks, but if it is just for the samples, that's what you wanted.

Thanks for your info!
But I do not want hardware modifications. Plus, the volume clicks would ruin my song.
