I tried DMC and Hardtracker seven years ago.
Few days ago I tried GoatTracker too.

I think the JCH is the best for me to start because I have some tunes I didn't finish five years ago and this could be the best way to recall all technics.

I will have a look for Cybertacker anyway, thanks!

There's also "A Beginner's Guide to the JCH Editor V2.53, NewPlayer V14.G0" by Sean M. Pappalardo in DisC=overy issue #1 (http://www.devili.iki.fi/pub/Commodore/docs/magazines/discovery..)

Eventhough it's for an earlier editor, I believe the differences are minimal. The players usually come with seperate docs. Check out Laxity's NewPlayer 21.G5 (JCH NewPlayer 21.g5)

JCH is, paradoxically, the easiest editor from the list above. But looks the most diffcult. :] If you need, Noise, some help with JCH (keyboard-shortcuts and stuff), you can always send PM or e-mail to me.

You are right Sidder, the JCH is most comfortable editor I have ever used on the C64.
Besides, I have fully two discs of unfinished tunes in JCH format. I have found it today so... there is no way for me to start in another msx. ed. now.

Thanks for help everybody. Now everyone who wants to start JCH as first (and I hope last) msx editor can find some proffesional help at CSDb.

until now i managed to get 3 people to stay away from jch because of my awful over-irc-teaching skills. =)

next to danko's, this is probably the best reference yet. so from now on, in case anyone asks me how that green beast works i will just show him thee book ov frantic ..

Hmm... well.. the guide is a bit old by now and I certainly knew less things then about SID (and JCH) than I do now, so don't get mad if you encounter any inconsistencies or errors. It ws not made to be perfect or so. Also note that the original version is the textfile included there, and the PDF file contains some small changes by SuperNoise (which is OK, just wanted to let you all know.)
