RingMod and OscSync

I'm a novice SID composer using DMC, which I think is a fine editor.
The only problem I have with it is that I can't find anything in the docs about using ringmod and oscsync in the editor.
Is this possible at all, or will I have to use some other editor?

you may also try TFX by Unreal - as I chatted with Ray/Unreal it's somehow based on DMC... however others who actaully use DMC should recommend sth ;-)

@Tortex:

To do sync and ringmod, you would usually have to edit the wave-table, as those 2 features are included in the wave-register of the sid-chip.

11 : Triangle wave (gate on)
10 : Triangle wave (gate off)
13 : Triangle wave (gate on) + Sync oscilllator with oscillator frequency of previous voice.
12 : Triangle wave (gate off) + Sync oscilllator with oscillator frequency of previous voice.
15 : Triangle wave (gate on) + Ringmodulate oscillator with
oscillator output of previous voice.
14 : Triangle wave (gate off) + Ringmodulate oscillator with
oscillator output of previous voice.

...and so on...

To put it in a different way, you can look at what the different bits of the wave registers do, when activated:

BIT 0 (hex value $01) = Gate on/off
BIT 1 (hex value $02) = Sync
BIT 2 (hex value $04) = Ringmodulation
BIT 3 (hex value $08) = Test-bit, when on->reset oscillator
BIT 4 (hex value $10) = Triangle waveform
BIT 5 (hex value $20) = Sawtooth waveform
BIT 6 (hex value $40) = Pulse waveform (use pulse-registers
to generate the pulse program you
want.
BIT 7 (hex value $80) = Random noise waveform

You can then combine those numbers for your needs, but notice that not all combinations work. You can however do some "combined waveforms". Some of them work better on new
SID chip and some of the ONLY work on the new SID chip.

Hope this is somewhat usefull.
