8 bit sampling for Pollytracker
Hi there!
I have a question.
How can I convert a stereo wave-file into an 8 bit mono sample to use it into Pollytracker?
Which program I must use on my PC?
Thanks for your help!

I would think something like Cool Edit will do the conversion. If not, then try "Nero Wave Editor" (that's what I use.) Only thing though you'll have to remove the crappy wave file editor data at the front, so I guess a text-editor (or what I use: XVI32) to remove the first few bytes, add the start address bytes at the front and save as a .prg)
There are other methods I guess, but this is one of them. |

It's quite simple. Store it as uncompressed WAV, every coder can do a 8 bit to 4 bit converter easily then. |

lo,
any decent waveeditor should be able to save them as unsigned 8bit raw files.
