Why don't you have a look into the JohnPlayer 1.6 (or was it an earlier version ...?) example song? Instruments programming shouldn't differ too much (if at all) from version 2.0 afaik. The tune is called 'Rock'n Roll Butterfly'.

Thanks Linus! I had not seen that one before now.
There are a couple of more instruments here, so now I must be able to crack it. All I got so far was the sound of "prrrtkf" when I really really wanted a loud and clear "shashiiiiing". ;P
Anybody know the difference between 1.6 and 2.0 beta? Doesn't say in the docs AFAIK. Anyway, since the last version came in 2002, I'll just settle for 1.6.
