New sid composer in town

"Il Creatore" (The Creator) as he call himself, composes with Commodore64 + Sidstation + Vocoders and created some videos with his music - some songs are on CDs too!

Let him know what do you think about his style, he'll appreciate any sincere feedback.

Some things about Dentro la stanza;
Vocals are too loud in the mix while some other sounds (like the strings) are barely hearable.
Track is too long. Too much repetitions of the same thing without variation. As a listener I want to be surprised.

Sounds are good though but what is that cracking sound I hear at random times?

Somethings about Tutti gli animali sono uguali:
Again, vocals too loud in the mix.
The bassline (from the intro) sounds a-musical. Try to use a shorter release in the instrument.
Arps are nice. Remind me of some ABBA song ;-)
What is that cracking/noise sound I hear at random times?

You asked for it :D

scout: Of course, negative feedback can help him improve. At least I hope so ;D

It was meant as constructive feedback :)

The guy has potential though otherwise I didn't even bother to post something.
(Hmm..that sounds a bit arrogant...not intended!)

What Scout said ... the tracks suffer from a bad mix (not only the volume problems). Interesting stuff nonetheless.

pretty much a repeat what was said before. Making music is great, but the technical side can really polish things, takes time to get into , well for me it did. Limiting / compression / eq'ing etc to give other sounds more frequency range and when its mixed down to 2 tracks (stereo), you notice the different by a lot.

what was said before, bit like demo's you want tunes to take you on a journey with unexpected twists that make you think WTF and make it even more memorable.

It's all a learning curve, still is for me.
