SIDs commercially released

This is a CD released by Tigerbeat6 in 2002:

Brotha P Touch (and Lesser): C64 SID 6581 Massive

Eventhough it's old, I just got my copy today and wanted to inform the people that are on it. I guess they didn't inform you (much less give you money)? This is the credits as listed on the CD, but the track-order is different. Oh, and the SID-emulation is not too good either.

Necrophobic
The Syndrom
Deek
Zyron
Drax
Bzyk
Bordeaux
Zardax
Jeff
Addict
Knatter
Deetsay
Peabrain
Elektro
Cargo
Perplex
Ed & Djinn
Cock Norris
Fantastic Zool
Devilock
Dwane Bakewell & G.Gallefoss (their typo)
Daf
Skysurfer
Peace

32:05-33:04 Zyron - Molecules

The filter-emulation is really terrible, doesn't sound anything like it's supposed to.. :/
Odd choice of track too..

goto80 as featured in page 60 of this months CM magazine
=)

my name was in last months issue.hehe

I think registering EVERYTHING original with mcps is the only way to deal with this thing, sadly. I should look into it, I mean no one would be stupid enough to take mcps registered stuff or if they do, they would get their a** kicked in court.

as for the covers well, thats different since they aren't originals.

I guess that covers hhhm europe and probably the states.. It's pretty lame people have no sense or manners to even clear it or worse get permission, if it's something done for profit.

as for this specific cd, perhaps everyone mentioned should contact the record label involved, and make a big hint about theft of music, and as the rightful composer you would like payment for use of your work, or maybe something else will follow.. if its 5+ people they might take notice.

thats the thing with mcps, if people can register everything they do, people will think twice about taking it.

@Goto80:

if it is "Ed & Djinn" then I suppose it is the old classic "I Miss You"...

You mean sue them for using the old outdated Sidplay1 and using 6581 for all the 8580 tunes, right? ;)

Curious. They sell all this stuff on www.binaryzone.org

Various compilations, SID collections, Best of Tim Folin, Matt Gray, David Whitacker, Fred Gray, Last Ninja Trilogy etc. etc. ...

I wonder if they contacted any of them. I suppose not.
