It's just a bassline transition that sounds the same. This progression has been used before thousands of times.
So, let's first count the sids that are original, then count the sids that are covers. |

Why count them? HVSC's STIL is a pretty good database for hunting covers/musical quotes/rip-offs.
That "hey don't you know Hubbard stole a nursery rhyme, so shut up if your c64 tune is used in a million dollar car commercial!" logic is getting pretty boring too. It hasn't worked earlier and it will not work in the future, so save your breath guys.
Although I must admit these false alarms are getting boring. |

stealing entire bars of music is BAD,
BUT!
i told a friend i would STEAL a little theme in one of his tunes, because it would fit into my own idea, and he said:
"you can't steal notes - they belong to everyone"
after an instant, i realized he is correct :-)

It's not easy to claim music, but it's still possible. Notes are for everyone, but the order of the notes can - within limits - be claimed. |
