High Voltage SID Collection Search

Just a quick spam :)

ExoticA is pleased to launch a new Web Interface to the High Voltage SID Collection, which allows browsing and searching of the tunes by name, author, copyright, year and directory path. It also allows you to search for tunes using data from the SID Tune Information List and can display this information in the search results if required.

Search is here:

Just to note that I have updated the search a bit. It now supports searching by SID Model, as well as displaying a little bit more information when show info/stil is clicked.

Thanks to Mr.Ammo for the suggestion.

personally i'd like to be able to search for tunes that are located within a certain memory range ... that could be quite handy sometimes :)

Perhaps I need search/advanced search and super advanced ;-)

I guess this would be doable though, although there might be higher priority things. (not that I'm saying it isnt important, but perhaps not for me personally)

Groepaz: should it show any tunes which occupy your range, even if they just overlap it slightly ?

uhm, that doesnt sound useful :) when searching for 1000-2000 it should only show the tunes that completely fit in there

Still not added your request groepaz. It is on my list though.

I have updated the search though. Now supports a more advanced boolean search by default and supports crosslinking with RKO remixes.

Updated the search functionality. Previously the search defaulted to "or" if no boolean operator was used. this wasn't particularly intuitive for first time users. It wasnt a design choice but a mysql limitation (and mysql is stupid enough to allow only server wide configurations for some stuff which is rather limiting).

now I process the input a bit, so it defaults to "and" if no boolean operators are used.

for example on a quick search entering now

commando hubbard

will return only a couple of matches. before it would have returned all tunes with command and hubbard. the old behavious is still possible with

|commando |hubbard

cheers!
