lost musicians endler and hård
hi, i've been trying, in vain, to find info on frank endler, composer of the music for task 3, back in the day. considering the quality of these tunes, i can't believe these are the only ones he did. haven't been able to dig up any info though. the same goes for the swedish composer, lars hård. anyone able to shed some light?
greetings, scott

Hehe, I remember humming this tune at school... Task 3 definitely is a killer tune, especially that it was made in 1987 (or 88?) ... a time when that speed of dance music BPM hadn't seen the light yet? It's amazing how an unknown composer like Frank Endler had made such a huge impact in pushing the SID capabilities at such an early time of the c64. It is a real shame he didn't make any more.
The game programmer would have just said "Right Frank, here's the game, we need some music... go and code a music player from scratch and compose as best as you can with it." He did the job he was told and never did it again. Quite saddening, but that's what happens with some musicians who just work for commercial games. One-hit wonders it seems.

Lars Hård was a member of the first swedish software-house, Greve Graphics/American Action, based in Helsingborg, Sweden. Since they were the only commercial gamemakers in the country, they recieved a lot of attention in media back in the days. Their work was featured in a big exhibition of Swedish software in Linköping a couple of years ago.
As far as I have understood it, Lars was first and foremost a programmer.

I have called and mailed maybe 20+ Frank Endlers in Germany, with no luck finding the one i search..
Maybe some time should be invested in finding one of the other 2 guys responsible for the game Task 3.
