Anyone using Sid Factory or in contact with Laxity?

Just wanted to ask, if there's anyone who is in contact with Laxity? I've got a question about the SF Driver 6.03.

I'd like to know if there's a way to change the tempo during the song (cmd $F0 doesn't seem to work). It's implemented in the 5.0x drivers, so maybe it's just undocumented or I'm overlooking it. I do know that Driver 6.0x is designed to be fast, so I know that I'm possibly out of luck with this one. :)

Quite possibly driver 6 does not have a tempo change feature.
But either wait for Laxity to reply to this himself, or PM him. He got his 3rd kid recently, so he hasn't been here so much lately. :-)

Thanks for your quick answer, Jeff! PM'ing him somehow doesn't work, so I guess I'll have to wait - but 3 kids sounds like a whole lotta work. :)
I'm trying to dig myself through the player right now, but I don't expect to have any luck, since it seems very optimized to consume little rastertime. I guess I really should have used driver 5 or a different editor for this tune. :D

Laxity is known to be lurking around here occasionally. Chances are he might even answer your question personally.

Ok, driver 6.03 definitely doesn't support the tempo command. I hacked a quick solution abusing the pulse pointer (5x) to function as set tempo. ^^

Sorry didn't spot this thread.. Jeff's right ofcourse.. Kids and work etc. take sooo much time..

Oh.. Dunno why I didn't add that feature, but you're right ofcourse.. It's not there!..

I might have a more recent version of bother editor and drivers.. There's also a driver 7.xx, which is build to sound like an old Rob Hubbard driver.. Made for that gold digger game!.. Joe Gunn.. :) Anyway, if you need something that's not there, give be a poke and I'll see if I can include it (if it's not a coffee-making feature).

Good hack though.. Should work without problems, even with the packer!

Yeah, I already tried packing this specific tune and everything worked fine, indeed. :)
