Browse HVSC by Filesize?
Hey there!
Just wonder how to find out whether tunes are in HVSC or not before bothering Ian & Co.
Is there any way to browse HVSC by filesize? Any .txt I ignored?
Wasn't there even a 2010 or 2011 release which enables you to play a tune and identify it if it's in the database already?
Or was I just dreaming that?
Thx in advance! |

I don't understand the need to browse by filesize, but you can sort the files in exploder/any_file_manager_you_prefer by filesize before clicking on it.
This tool "plays" (doesn't emit notes by the way, it's played internally and very fast) a sid and says if it's known or not.

Ah, thx 4 the link, how forgetful am I... :)
Thx also 4 the tip, of course that's a possibility but doesn't get you anywhere if you don't know by whom the tune is - unless you put every artists's stuff into one single folder... which I definitely won't do. :D
PS/Edit: Quote:I don't understand the need to browse by filesize...
If I ripped sth properly, browsing by filesize *could* tell me a bunch of candidates to compare. |

How about "ls -RSl" in *nix, or "dir /s /os" in windows? |

You could also use the windows 'search' program where you have an option to search for files that are a certian size (at least/at most ??Kb). =) |
